Ok, here's something I finally finished for my bud Mike Oeming. I don't know if he's going to use it, but I had a blast doing it. His book reminds me of how I felt as a kid watching Watership Down or Secret of Nimh. You got to check it out. Mice Templar. And watch out for the scull face cat. Creepy.Related content

I have to praise you for the absolute sharpness of everything here - the gnarled tangles of roots, the angular thrusts of branches, the blood. And, usually a cooler contrast pairs well with such dramatic warm tones, but the subtly of the green around the edges is enough.
Forgive me if you've answered this before somewhere, but do you do all the work yourself? The sketch, inks, and colours?

Oh, nice! I just picked up this comic because I'd heard such wonderful things about it! This art is perfect, transferring the... hmm... grizzled-elder-warrior-who-knows-some-value-of-all visual trope to a mouse. A mouse who is still believably *mouse-y*, despite the fact that I just saw a mouse -- one who decidedly didn't look like that -- in our cat's mouth. Nicely done!

Kinda reminds me of Master Splinter from the early Ninja Turtles. In the original comic, Master Splinter trained the turtles to be mindless killing machines in order to exact his revenge against a single person, the Shredder.

That mouse looks JUST like that bad rat in NIMH--Jenner! I mean, not copied, but the vibe... the vibe is so there... This could have come from the last fight between Jenner and Jeremy.

Amazeing! I'm loveing Mice Templar so far and its not going to be off my pull list anytime soon. This is fanominal! The shadows, the colores, the look on his face and the sheer ratness of it! I'd really like to see this in one of the back pages one day.

Yeah, I grew up on those movies too. Remember Rikki-Tikki-Tavi I think it was called? With the mongoose fighting the snakes? Man, I was on the edge of my seat on that one. 
This is beautiful man. The composition, the high contrast lighting, almost makes me think it's a Mignola piece, which is awesome.
