It's so cool! Β Quick question: Β I designed and am writing a story about a male neko, which is inspired by the Theranos controversy (interesting topic BTW). Β The running gag in the story is that no one points out that he is a neko, not even himself.(He's the only neko in this story, but there will be a demon who helps him out.) Β It's just an accepted fact of the universe. Β Would a joke like that actually work, or is there something I need to tweak? Β Thanks for the Llama!

It really depends on the execution. Β A lot of jokes aren't that funny by themselves, or if explained. Β A huge amount of it is in the setup and the delivery. Β I think you're just going to have to write it and then try to refine it. Β Not every joke can be a success, a lot of funny material goes through a bunch of misses to get that one funny joke that everyone remembers.

I've taken 2 figure drawing courses in college and I use a bunch of references. Β Plus I get help from a few art friends who are way more knowledgeable about figure drawing than myself to fix mistakes.
