That is an IMPRESSIVE painting--i t looks professionally done, in my opinion. Those shadows! <3

Thanks! And yeah, most of the time I spent painting this was working on the shadows. I got really fed up at one point, because I couldn't get the eye sockets or the nose dark enough, and I contemplated turning up the contrast, but then it'd filter out the midtones, AND THAT'S WHERE THE COLORS WERE, so I just hammered through and used some of the palette from the cloak in a light overlay layer, which helped a lot.
