Description
Being my main leisure activity, everything I like eventually finds itself being viewed through the lens of Dungeons and Dragons. To that end, here's the first of a series of the cast as level 1 adventurers, starting with my favorite class and my favorite pony: Applejack, ranger.Statwise, I'm using the standard array for all the characters, just for simplicity's sake. Feats and skills are just my own judgments, based on how what I've seen in the show and how I'd play the characters. I'm sure there'll be differences of opinion; feel free to comment.
Obviously, a +1 weapon at first level is quite a bit...generous, but heck, it was a nice looking crosbow, and I'm probably going to give everybody at least one magical item for flavor purposes anyway.

I probably would have given her some boots of strength or ant haul myself, but she is the practical sort so a simple +1 weapon certainly works.

Omg. Twilights wisdom is 8 and AJ's is 10. Twilight is a wizard/sorcerer!

Wizards cast magic based on their Intelligence, so Twilight having a much higher intelligence than wisdom is more than reasonable. Wisdom is more along the lines of common sense than book knowledge.

As someone else who likes ponies and D&D, I'm always rather interested in other peoples' interpretations of what the Mane Six would be like as adventurers.
That said, I'll likely be posting some comments here when I have the time, contrasting your approaches with the ones I took... ah, variety is the spice of life.

I saw that highly sub-optimal Ranger build and thought it was deliberate trolling on your part because you fall into the "AJ is worst pony" category. And then I read your post learn AJ is your favorite pony. What gives? +1 magical ranged weapon and unremarkable dex score? Her highest stat is strength and you don't even give her a melee weapon? None of her skills are even strength based! GARBLEGARBLEGARBLE! I AM A GIANT SQUID OF ANGER!

The crossbow could be an heirloom; something her grandma acquired during her days as an adventurer. It's made from the sinews of a timberwolf! Well, at least that's what Granny Smith says...

As far as we're being picky on stats I'd raise her wisdom. She's got plenty of common sense and it's needed later for rangers.

Are you sure that she should have a +5 animals off the start? Fluttershy has a +6 and that is pretty much her entire life.

I'm just saying, I think that Crossbow would look just the same as a masterwork, and would still be overpowering your character

Really cool, remind me when I was playing a ranger in a game of Pathfinder and was always on drugs or eating everything on sight.
BTW: you didnt took the ''rapid reload'' feat? Seems essential for a H.Crossbow

Higher strength than dexterity, but she uses a crossbow instead of 2-weapon fighting? WUT?
And why'd you make Intelligence her dump stat? She's not necessarily the MOST intelligent of the Mane 6, but she's not the least intelligent either - that one would probably be RD or Fluttershy (no offense or anything!) I'd make Charisma and especially Dexterity her dump stats - she's likable but not necessarily persuasive, and she especially gets irritated with Rarity's obsession with details, preferring to do things the hard-n-fast way. She might also take Improved Unarmed as a feat to represent her skill with Bucky McGillicuddy and Kicks McGee, and a couple of Ride feats.
Just my couple of Lincolns, there.
