Description
Native to the alien forests of the planet Faria, in the wild they are actually very foul scented. They are not very active creatures and they can be found in clusters with a noxious fog surrounding them protecting them from predators. It wasn't until recently that it was discovered that their scent clouds are based on the fruits they feed on, in some cases they can produce a rather toxic cloud. If fed sweet smelling fruits such as strawberries and oranges they will produce a very aromatic scent. Some believe that they still produce toxic vapours regardless what they are fed, even though after several years of domestication there appears to be no negative effects to humans. As long as they are not fed their native fruits that is. In fact some cases of humans with some respiratory diseases have shown an improvement in their symptoms after adopting this creature. It breathes through the slits on it's sides and it's lungs actually filter out contaminants and allergens in the air.

I thought that this creature was rather cute alien and it reminds me of my guinea pig, Edwin, may he rest in piece. Great job!

cute! i love the semi-sluggish look of the design, the fins and colouration remind me of nudibranches. the strong reflected lights are great and really bring out the sluggy nature of it!
however, one small nitpick: a reflection at that angle would be more than just a vertically flipped version of the main picture and would include more of the underside or otherwise be at a much more steep angle. you may consider only dabbing a little colour down to infer reflection or just stick with a shadow underneath to emphasise form.

yeah, the reflection is just a quick indication more than anything...just a way for me to say that this creature can be seen on shinier surfaces such as those found in human households, flipping it rather than painting is more of a time saver that still gives the effect of a reflective surface that he's sitting on...I did however paint the reflection for the orange slices because it would've looked very odd at that angle and a little obvious...

That description makes me feel like there's got to be a catch somewhere, like everyone who breathes its vapors turns into aromaswines eventually or starts to smell like what they eat, or their natural predators grow out of control since there are no toxic fogs holding them back...
The pink/purple color scheme and the way it's looking back only heightens this feeling.
