so we've got the dynamic duo, deunan and briareos, from the anime and manga, appleseed.

and, yes, i was watching appleseed: ex machina while doing this.

while i normally hate drawing tech and guns, i thought this might be nice little exercise to get me more used to it. a while back, i read a journal entry from mark brooks who spoke about teaching yourself to love things you hate drawing. he was referring to backgrounds (which i also hate to draw) but i think the principle applies here, as well. i still hate drawing tech and guns but i'm going to have to start loving it. on a personal note, i'm somewhat pleased with this which came out better than i thought it would.

i think i'll do some american comic stuff for the next few sketches considering all i've been doing recently is from manga and anime. maybe some avengers or x-men but not spidey. i don't like drawing spidey... so i might have to do spidey next.
