Ok, if you haven't read "Seven Ancient Wonders" yet, and don't want a few plot spoilers, I advise you hit the "back" button right now."The platform was ablaze with light and sound.
Here at the epicentre of the great Sun-ray, the glow was almost blinding. And the noise - it was all-consuming: the colossal boom of the great Sun-ray combined with the roar of the Halicarnassus's retro-thrusters and the turning of its regular engines (which were level with the platform) drowned out all other sound..."

The final battle out of "Seven Ancient Wonders" (being released in the States as "Seven Deadly Wonders") by Matthew Reilly. Jack West Jr with the Halicarnassus in the background. I highly reccomend you find the book and have a read. As long as you like action, and can deal with America being the bad-guys for a change you should enjoy it. If not, go read "Ice Station" instead
Ok, I know the shading and background suck on this one. Basically I got bored and just wanted to get the thing finished, so I rushed it. However, that now means that I've finished the uncomplete stuff that sketch book had in it and can move onto a new one. So if I promised art, it should be on the way. Took out quite a bit of artistic license on this one as well, but hey, when drawing MR fan art, do as the author and MAKE IT UP!

yes... It just arrived yesterday and I kinda don't want to read it, cuz right now I'm in a state where I can live without a Matthew Reilly book at hand, but as soon as I finish a book I want more...and well, although Hell Island should come some when during the next week, I can't read that either till I can pick up Scarecrow at the bookstore, but I want to read another MR book so badly.......T.T

Indeed I have, but only recently. For some reason SSS left me feeling a little... flat? I dunno, just didn't seem up to some of his earlier efforts. As a mate put it "a little too much Hover Car Racer in style" 
All that said however: still hanging out for the next one

Got Six Sacred Stones for Christmas? Lucky... I keep meaning to pick that up, but every time I see it in the shops it's invariably the day before pay day
Still, that's pretty good motivation to finish Mocking Bird. Why is it that schools always pick books to read that no-one really cares about? We caught, Snow Falling on Ceders and Pride and Prejudice for our senior years... very few people will discover "the joy of reading" through those

Yea, I begged and begged my mum for Six Sacred Stones till she finally caved. I was able to read the first part of it till she snatched it back, making me Mockingbird. Ive tried really really hard but I just cant get stuck into it like I can with Matthew Reilly's books!

Well, I just finished the book after getting it on Thursday, and I'm really impressed by the drawing. Really good work, especially with the perspective of looking up at the Tartarus (took me a while to realise that it was hitting the Capstone right behind the heroes, though.)
Just a question, though, where is West's forearm?

Heh, yeah.... unfortunately the layout for this one wound up being a bit of a mess. As for his arm, it was meant to be hidden behind the gun with the perspective. It was only after inking it that I realized there should have been more showing; and by then it was a bit late

Some chaos here.You probably may have to add the fingers on the right hand because this angle can not hide a person's fingers.His left hand is understandable because of the width of the gun but not in the same case as the right hand.Otheriwse,a good job here.
