Richard Grenier is one artist that will never cease to amaze me. He's as polyvalent in style as technically skilful. Since his current location rarely allows him to do as much work of magnitude he would like, I know this piece must have been especially delightful to execute. In my eyes, this piece of artwork vision resides in the refreshing and lively promise of the new tattooing life awaiting him very soon.
Since cherry blossoms are very common subject among tattoos, it's always very hard to bring them to look different and unique. Yet, I think Rich did succeed in doing something new with that original decorative background in negative.
This particular piece a perfect display of its creatorβs skills and talent with its soft shadings and smoothly blended colours arranged in a flowing airy composition that delightedly fits this customers' arm shape.
Overall, I think this piece of artwork is clean, efficiently simple, well presented and thus a genuine success.

Wow thanks Ruby! It's true that tattooing here is plain and un-satisfying. There's not much originality in my job here always doing the same generic crap on people day after day. It's not the right place for me and what I want out of tattooing because I want more than just doing 'tattys' or 'slingin ink.'
it's boring and monotonous. And tattooing shouldn't be like that.

It means alot coming from an artist as good as you. You do some of the most consistant spotless work this side of the Mississippi! Your linework is always so crisp and clean like you do every line like it was your last and everything in your tattooing shows how much you love doing that piece.

That's exactly what I love about it. It creates at lot more interest. The flowers themselves are beautifully rendered. As always you've mastered how to use color with them, but the contrast between their very structured planned forms and the more organic negative element is very very nice. You're and amazing artist dear.
