I LOVE Blade Ligers. Esp red ones. I danno why, but red was always my favorite color for the Bladys. So unlike most of my customs/repaints, this one is actually based directly off of Leon's Blade Liger from Zoids NC.This Blade Liger has been through a lot. He was originally the Black Impact version, but then I repainted it to this: [link] . Over time, his paint started to chip and or rub away, plus since it was one of my firsts to make poseable, the joints weren't too good and started to fall apart. Even though I do miss that color scheme, my Hayate was already close enough to it, so I decided to go with the anime variant.
The process for preparing this guy to be repainted and jointed was quite long. Had to take it apart, rip the ball joints off, sand off all the paint and smooth it, then redid the joints and painted. The head is why I always tell people that Blade Liger and Shield Liger are hard to make poseable in comparison to the Liger Zero.

Looking at these photos, I've noticed Bladeys are probably the best to joint. The white bits on the feet hide the ball joints well ^^

Hasbro did release a red blade liger and Tomy released the red blade liger as a limited. This one used to be a Black Impact blade liger, but I like red blade ligers more xD
lol Just read your sig. I actually avoid subbed anime if I can. I like working on other stuff while I play some anime, and mostly just listen to the eps :3

ah i see. i used to have the original liger zero. i built it then took it apart. now i don't have all of the pieces. but i still have that core where you can put other armors on it XD
rofl,i usually don't multitask while watching anime. some people don't like subs because reading the subtitles takes their attention away from the action/whatever is happening. but i got used to it and i'm able to see what's going on while it's happening. XD i just like to understand the story plot and background stories. so somethings dubbed isn't always accurate or have added things that was never said in the jap version nor in the manga. i guess everyone is different.

lol Liger Zero's a great zoid, esp for creating custom armors for it.
Ah yeah. Each has their pros and cons. I've actually seen all of Death Note and Soul Eater in subs before it was even dubbed and became popular and Zoids Genesis because it was never dubbed.

one of the few exceptions that i don't mind anime being dubbed is when i grew up with it or it's dubbed really well. like pokemon, yugioh, inuyasha. I think ghost in the shell is dubbed really well and i didn't really watch most of it.
i guess i made my signature like that is because i first started out watching detective conan (case closed) english dubbed. then when AS stopped airing the show, i went online to look it up and i saw the anime fan subs. i watched it so much that i got used to it. and when i watch it in english dub. it just sounded horrible to me. and i realized in one of episodes, they made heiji (harley) say something in the english dub that he didn't say at all in the japanese version or in the manga.
which one is zoids genesis? i remember watching zoids on cartoonnetwork or toonami. my favorite zoid series was when this kid (has blond spiky hair and wears a red jacket) works in a junkyard found liger zero and it's based on a futuristic time.
the other zoid series i saw was this did with black hair had a red mark on his face and had this blond haired girl with him.

You're thinking of Zoids: New Century Zero. Zoids Genesis never got an English dub. It's the one that centers around Ruuji Familon and his friends as they try to stop the evil Digald Empire.
It's pretty good, you should watch it. Took me only three days to watch all 50 episodes.

I Love Ligers too. Ligers, Geno Breaker and The Raptor Snipers are my faves (in that order). I did a little comic thing for Liger and Geno Breaker not too long ago.

I guess the neck in particular must be tricky, since they have so much mane elements to collide with shoudler plates or entangle with the blades when they're in cannon mode XD. That's exactly wht I don't like much Revoltech's Bladey: neck is waayyy too long IMO

Yep the head is the tricky part. It's actually really hard because the jaw doesn't fit into the side pieces like in most zoids. They only connect to the main body piece, so you have to find a mechanism that will allow you to open and close the jaw as well as make the head move @_@ I gave a link in my artists comments to show how it's done.

Oh, didn't know that actually, my Bladey came vintage with its head already assembled to its body so I didn't bother to dismantle it to check how it was done - that and the fact there was no instruction book with it, so if I tried to take it apart I probably wouldn't be able to reassemble it anymore

I have mixed feelings about Genesis. I like the story, but I don't like how none of the zoids have personalities and most of the characters. I danno, they just seemed cliche or bland to me. I do like Ron though, definitely my fav character. lol that is true!
