Let's start off by saying that YOU HAVE IMPROVED SO MUCH! It's amazing how your backgrounds and shading, and style improved such a significant amount.
Vision- 5 stars, because first off, the backgrounds are amazing and beautiful. Especially on the first part of the drawing with Dovewing. The light reflecting from the bright, eye catching and colorful background add so much to the drawing. The bright white glowing line that separates the two characters are also attracting. On the side of Ivypool, the dark background reflects her feelings and her worried expression well and looks amazing. The background of both cats suit their expressions and mood well, which makes the drawing better.
Originality- 4.5 stars because this type of drawing is quite popular, especially with two opposing characters. Although your style is unique, so 4.5 stars.
Technique- 4.5 stars, because your style is unique and cute, your coloring style and background style are also very nice. This might go with vision, but because I guess it's part of your style, I'll add it as a technique. The thing is that Ivypools 'head fur' or the fur that droops over her eyes is kind of too thin, which makes it look kind of unnatural. The fur on her head, not face, starts a bit too high up, and also results an unnatural look. Impact- 5 stars, because you've improved so much and proved to deviants that improving like this is possible, just through a lot of constant practice and experimenting.
Overall, I think this looks amazing compared to your other drawing. It looks to me as if you are now comfortable in drawing backgrounds, and your anatomy and style has improved more. You coloring and shading has improved a lot, too. Keep this up, and I can't wait to see how this drawing will look next year, or even a just months from now. Great work! Woah. I love those backgrounds! The vivid colors by Dovewing contrast extremely with the dull tones in the Dark forest. The shading also properly reflect the environments. That starry sky is awe-inspiring. I can tell you put much effort into this. :0
