please take a moment to vote for this cosplay (and my others too) in the finals of the Cosplay Idol contest by Otaku House!

You can vote once for each cosplay and once for “idol factor” by hitting the facebook like or google plus buttons above each photo. The Idol Factor buttons are found above the first photo of me as Vanellope. All these votes add up to make my total score so please hit the like button above each photo! Thanks! ♥

Also, I don't have a huge fan base and thousands of followers like many of the other contestants... so basically my odds of placing are tiny but I'm going to give it my best shot anyway! If you could share this around and have your friends vote as well I would appreciate it more than you know.

Thanks for your time and thank you to everyone who voted for me in the qualifiers!  Being a finalist is really a dream come true and I am so grateful to all of you!

I love that bodice, it's one of the most accurate ones I've seen so far! Did you make your own pattern for it or modify an existing one? If so, which? Thank you!

Oh my gosh, your Anna cosplay is perfect! It's so gorgeous, I love it XD It makes me feel self conscious about how budget and crappy mine is XP

I'm still working on the bodice and the wig is still in the mail (and I ordered a white extension for her white streak but the tracker online says it's not gonna come until, like, a week before Christmas XP) but it's not quite as movie accurate because I don't have the time or money to make everything this time, so I had to go thrifting and get the majority of my stuff. So the cape is completely inaccurate and I'm not doing the fancy detailing on the skirt since what I'm using for the skirt is actually a really pretty dress that I want to wear both for the cosplay and by itself. I don't have boots yet, either, and may just have to wear black flats or something haha The only thing I think is gonna look fairly accurate is the bodice because I'm gonna paint the designs on it with fabric paint, but the entire cosplay is kind of a mess haha I'm planning on wearing mine to see the movie, too, if I have time to finish, since me and my friend are planning to go as Anna and Elsa, but I'm not sure if we'll finish in time 'cause we've both got family issues going on and I'm kinda broke haha

Don't worry too much about making everything accurate, the most important thing is that you have fun with it
I saw some folks on 4chan picking apart Elsa cosplays (including my own) today.  There were being pretty mean to some of the girls and I thought they all looked beautiful.  I really love details and all but not everyone wants to spend all kinds of time and money on their costumes.  but really....I don't really give a crap if someone spends 30 dollars or 300 dollars on their costume.  I don't care if they are wearing a cardboard box that's painted like Anna's cape.  We are all fans and we are all having a good time and that's just awesome to me.
I'm actually really enjoying how different all the Elsa cosplays look.  They just don't sell material that's quite right for it so its good to see people being creative with it and making it their own.
I hope you guys were able to finish your costumes in time and that you enjoyed the movie! It was so cute! I loved it!! <3

That's horrible that they were being so mean about their cosplays. I agree, though, I love seeing everyone's renditions of their cosplays and how they go about making them, and how they are all different and unique in their own ways I was able to finish my Anna cosplay but my Elsa hasn't finished her costume yet due to some family dilemmas so neither of us have seen the movie yet but we might just have to go separately and/or out of costume to see it. But under the circumstances, I'm happy with the way my Anna came out (considering I only spent $70 on it and made it in about a month) and even though it's not as detailed or perfect or accurate as other cosplays I've seen, I'm starting to see that you're right, that the most important thing is just to have fun with it
