This is my entry for the SuikodenFC contest. [link]
I stayed up all night making it! Whew...
Felt a bit rushed, to say the least, but I did my best!

My aim was to illustrate the scene where Odessa gives McDohl her earring and, with her death, passes on the role of leader of the Liberation Army. The idea of leadership being passed on is symbolized by the flag McDohl is holding. (Which is supposed to be the Liberation Army flag, but I didn't have much in the way of references, so it may be a bit off, lol.) The formation of the army is also hinted at by the castle in the distance.

I also wanted to connect Odessa and Mathiu (TWO OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS YEAAAAHHH)--since they're also connected through the earring, and through their blood, being brother and sister. (Man, I'd love to read a doujinshi or manga or whatever about their earlier life! Or just them in general, huhuhu...)

But! And this is gettin' kinda deep here, so if you can't stand that deep English shit, plug your ears, my friend!
Odessa is looking on as McDohl, with Mathiu's help, builds up the liberation army and rebels against the Scarlet Moon Empire. She's dead, so she's facing one way, (representing the past, I suppose) and Tir is facing the other way, looking ahead towards the future.

Now, Mathiu's body, you'll notice, is facing the same way as McDohl's, towards the future, but he's looking back at Odessa too. (That's supposed to be a smile I think.) And THAT'S 'cuz he dies at the end! So he's sort of inbetween Odessa and McDohl. You know?

Damn, this is like a bad essay or something! XD
Forgive me... I just wanted to prove it really was a rendition of a scene!
