The way the photo is, the people could almost be on a boat, with the flagpole as the mast ^^

And how do you figure that? Fear kept us alive.Gave us the chance to evolve and migrate to more inhabitable parts of the planet. Sadly it also brings irrationalty, like a need to be create eschatological myths about an "afterlife" life... which is rather nonsensical and scary in the hands of ayatollahs etc...

i don't think that fear has kept us alive. Right the opposite. It has kept us blind to see beyond. It has restrained us to follow a way where things could have been easier, better, with more peace and friendship among every creature upon this Earth.. and maybe further.
They are the same person who votes for politicians and gets angry for their actions too. How come?
And if you begin to talk about fear on religiously base, then there you'll see that the damage is done for good!!!

You are making a grave epistemic error. How one REACTS to fear makes a big difference. If one has NO fear of a lion or bear... they die. One option is to seek to eradicate ALL lions or bears from the earth. Or one can seek to avoid encounters and seek to develop ways to defend oneself if avoiding is not an option. This would leave open the option of learning more about lions or bears and a relationship... our relationships with canines has spawned from similar such appraoches. We as a species have seen both in action in recorded history. Genocide vis a vie social cohesion..... I opt for the latter...as I am sure you do. Done honestly, void of pre-suppositionalism (which leads to dogmatism more often than not) it can lead to great things like emancipating women from the shackles of religious nonsense.
I think we are on the same page here, just some semantical shisms that need sorting. I appreciate the dialogue... though I can be rather direct, it is not to offend in any way. CHEERS
