Description and it all comes down to this.
i'll keep you close like a promise kept.

Quick Question: What do you see in the background. On my monitor all I see is black there is no background, but I'm being told that you can see one on some monitors. Either mine is calibrated wrong or there's is and I'm kinda concerned. The background is suppose to be all black.

On my monitor, I can easily see not-quite-blackish pixillation and green noise. When I increase the brightness of my monitor, I can really see it well. Guess it's time to calibrate photoshop to your monitor.

and how exactly do I go about doing that? Because, when I get prints made, the prints come out looking exactly like my photos. So, I'm starting to think that maybe the other people need to calibrate their monitors. This has been an on going issue with my work and I don't understand what's going on because like I said, the prints look like my photos and my photos look completely different on other monitors.

Well, then I'd say that since your images print like how they're displayed on photoshop, then that's good enough. To go the extra mile, you could convert the final image to a web-browser safe profile or something like that. I mean, there's really no easy way to win, as in the end - it's going to look different to everyone. In fact, the image appears differently when viewed on Firefox as it does on Safari...without changing anything about my display.

Beautiful shot.

yes, if you change the gamma you can see a bit of a smoky pattern in the black. On my monitor, not changing the photo, its all black.

All I see is somethng like a shadow in the black, above his hand, but it has no shape, kinda like smoke from a cigarrette

The background is mostly black...maybe a really dark green in some areas. But I can't make out any...shapes, or objects. It's quite a lovely image. Very Lord of the Rings.

The background for me is black in certain areas and dark green in others.
