Description My favorite time of the year is Autumn.

I really love all the wonderful colors in nature and the leaves crumbling under my feet then.
In all this decay there is so much beauty. Even my birthday is the official start of Autumn

That's why I decided to create this tiny world in a glass, so I can have Autumn every day.
Later I gifted it to my grandma as huge sign of my gracefulness to her.

Thanks! If you're interested, I made a tutorial on how to create such a tiny world: www.tinyworlds.org/blog/tiny-w…
Tiny terrariums are really fascinating - if you put the lid on them they are a tiny ecosystem, which only needs light from outside to thrive.

You're welcome
In case you don't know, I wrote a tutorial on the technique:
Hints and Tips #2 : Water SplashesWater Splashes:
Creative Use Of Water In Macro

In this tutorial I'll show you an easy way to turn a simple bottle into
a tool for creating stunning water splashes in your pictures.
You need:
An empty dish washing liquid bottle or shampoo bottleA lens to shoot from distance OR you risk water damage
Preparing the bottle
Open your empty bottle. Clean it with water until no more soap bubbles are building.
Now fill it up with water.
In action
Set a short exposure time to β€žfreezeβ€œ the water in motion.
Press on the bottle to release the water, while taking photos.
Be sure the water does not get inside your camera.
Technique #1 – Moment of Impact
Have fun!

What's wrong? Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Rick-TinyWorlds In reply to Addlexx [2014-07-14 08:43:09 +0000 UTC]

Well, since I got bullied back in school for some years, with even the people I called friends turning down on me, I had long time a hard time to trust anyone as friend.
Back then I still had my siblings and my art, though, so I managed to find some sort of balance.
I can trust people again now and know lovely people who would like to be my friends. However, I often realize how inexperienced I am when it comes
to socializing, when I'm with them. I feel like dropping a brick after another and that makes me want to stop my effort.
The solution is simple, yet not easy: Kick my own ass and get out of my comfy zone.
So ... nothing is really wrong, everything is fixable and I know how to. Plus spending a lot of time on my art gave me a decent skill level for my age &
made me meet like-minded game developers and photographers. The memories from my travels to game developers are among the best - from sleeping
on a bed out of fruit boxes to walking in the mud of the Baltic sea for the first time.
I'm hosting a photographers meetup next Friday, by the way

Try making the best of your art. People will clearly apreciate what you're doing. You need your friends, but I really know it's hard to find someone you can trust completely as your brother or sister. I'm so glad that I have the chance to know your story and see what you've been through, also your great experiences from your travels. Hope you'll have more further! If you need anyone to talk to, I'm here for you. A complete stranger, you know, but I guess we'll get along. Take care of you! :3

I really love this shot! You can really see the movement of the water as it hits the terrarium, and along with that, you get a real contrast between the in-focus and out-of-focus areas of water. Fantastic job! β™₯

First I gathered materials in nature and build a terrarium.
The trees are tiny twigs and the leaves are actual, tiny leaves I found in the garden.
Then I grabbed my DIY Macro Water bottle and shoot at the terrarium with water
In near future will be a tutorial on this method published - if you want to, I can inform you when it's available.
