Description
My first post here, and it's also my first time coloring on photoshop, but it's still my favorite (I think).Ariel is my character, and here she is casting a spell (Death spell for those that play AD&D).

I really like the background effect combine with the character pose, "A powerful impact is going to launch at you" feeling.

it's called the Death Spell and well, the name tells almost everything.
It basically can kill a small army in seconds.
It's one of the most powerful spell she has, and even though she does not cast it that often (she is not that evil 
It's specially useful at the begining of a great battle, just looking at the face of the enemie just after the battle begins and they have already lost a unit or two is priceless, and their morale goes to the floor.

It's amazing that a char can carry a 'Death' spell as it spell arsenal ultimate doom to it enemies.
And I though it was a flare or fire spell due to the background effect you have put.

pff, fireball? that's a kid toy compared to this (but it works on less dramatic situations
the background started as a simple dawn (I'm very bad with backgrounds). But I though "what the heck, let's make this really cool", ans started playing with it.
The idea is that she is concentrating the whole negative energy on the air around, and this (like any powerful spell) creates wierd effects on reality itself, the least of which may be the way light behaves.
*now that is a dorky explanation for something that does not exist... sometimes I think too much on

Don't worry, I am talking about my own ima' friend.

Ask your brother about his 'special' friend, maybe you can get a tips on somethig you don't know about his special friend.

I don't think my brother has that friend anymore, it was only when he was small, but it's a fun story. Whenever my parents did not let him do something, he said that his friend could do it (he had the most liberal parents in the world or something like that). So at the end his friend could smoke, drink, stay up all night... You have to take into account that he was not even 10 at that time, but somehow his friend was allowed to do whatever he wanted
I don't know if that was fun for you, but we always have a good laugh when we remember this on my family.

--- (I wasn't scared for the first time, but when thinking it back after you have grown mature and the special friend isn't by your side anymore ... do have mixed feeling of fear and joy...)

wow dude, I've never seen someone that impossibly skinny. Wow, its just really detracts from everything else, but the color is very well done, especially for a first time.
