11x14, Warm and gray Copic markers, pen, ink, and Prismacolor white pencil on bristol board.

Latest copic marker commission - Sif, Shieldmaiden of Asgard, lover of Thor. Obviously, I'm going more for the Valkyrie angle here.

The idea is that she's on the Rainbow Bridge, with Asgard in the background emerging from the clouds. It was a little tricky to pull off, and I hope it comes across well.

My Asgard references the Straczynski/Coipel version, while my client specifically requested the original Sif costume. So, there it is, with the addition of a fur lining and her headpiece, which I think has become an identifying characteristic of Sif. But beyond that, I tried to stay as true to the original as I could, considering based upon my research her costume changed a bit from issue to issue.

This was my first attempt at playing around with a white pencil. I still prefer white ink and a brush, but I do like using it and will probably continue to incorporate it in my work.
