Thank you so much...I shall not deliver a speech. But...not that I'm NOT thrilled....well, it's just an ok exercise in playing with textures. But I don't make those decisions...and I guess the gods liked it. Thanks again....

You should read my son's deviation on 'Fears.'
The link can be found in my current Journal. We all have
fears, more than most of us are willing to admit.
Yours, with the dust storm, etc etc ~ very interesting.
Do you remember how that fear started?

I did read it it makes a good point 

That fear started when i was in middle school and we learned about the Dust Bowl. 

I always just felt like that would be the worst thing to get caught in. You'd be blind and suffocating, you couldn't hide from it... 

I know its not a very realistic fear because the dust bowl happened because of a heavy drought and people tore up the ground too much with plows and it was just a giant mess but it still freaked me out.

Its not really so much a fear of what would happen to me but to my family.

Yes...I watched a super documentary on Public television a few months ago. Quite scary. Fortunately, modern agriculture doesn't do THAT to the top soil any more. Thanks for that!

entitled 'Get Daily Deviations' and the piece I entered...well,
my hopes were dashed; it was a digital piece of course. And
the gods that be, at dA really, REALLY prefer the pure watercolors.

In all honesty, I'm miserable and frozen in fear
WHEN I paint. It's not until I'm finished when I'm glad

Ya...I'm rather big on texture.
At least I work at it ~ not sure if I could
complete a watercolor with just brushwork,

WOW, wasn't sure if my style was that distinctive
at the thumb nail size. I think I rather prefer looking at

I sympathize...my school bus job started and I am

you're very welcome!  your work is so good i had to suggest this one, very impressive. 

the way it works is that someone suggests a piece of art to someone who makes the final choice (cher in this case).  if she decides to use the suggestion then it becomes a DD.
