how did you get that star tatoo to have those rays of light?

I created a path with pen tool around the star and used glow,then ctrl+t...turned the same path to a biger sizer...move up...used as reference the biggest star to make perfect lines with pentool,create a new path for each corner...painted slwoly with brush tool low opacity.mask or erase some ares if necessary.I think it was that way XD.see ya bro.
