Help me to find Mr. Jasper Schuringa and send him this message that I am intended to buy one of his used underpants at the price of 1000$ and complete my installation art.

Great photo!

A little comment about what estudio said (the guy who gave this a daily deviation)

You just HAD to add something about how the artist adding black and white to the photo is something subliminal, didn't you? This is why I hate journalists.

sends shivers up my spine. politicians in general (democrats and republicans) disgust me. anyone who has a life goal to control other people is to be feared.

I want be in the politics later when I grow up, I'm already in several related things at school...and I don't think that that's scary...

Leadership is needed in general: there is simply no way to avoid it. Now, if a leader is benevolent or domineering is another debate altogether.

leadership yes. America's system of federal government no.

How do you mean?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

pod264 In reply to Ezram [2009-04-20 23:38:44 +0000 UTC]

You don't have to have a massive national government for their to be leadership. I personally think that when government is closer to the people in the form of state and local level governments, you will have less corruption and happier citizens. When the government is held in ivory towers, the citizens have a smaller and smaller voice, and will rebel.

But that just narrows the sense of unity, and do we really want a return of "tribal" structures when we should be united as a nation...or hell, a world?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

pod264 In reply to Ezram [2009-04-23 18:36:08 +0000 UTC]

"The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite."
--James Madison, Federalist No. 45

If the federal government followed the Constitution we would not revert back to tribalism, we just wouldn't have multi trillion dollar budget deficits that our grandchildren will have to pay for. Most states are just as large as the average country, and I don't see countries like Ireland acting "tribal."

Also being united as a world through government is a scary proposition. I don't even want to imagine how high those ivory towers would grow.

"Also being united as a world through government is a scary proposition."

I was actually referring to the mentality people hold, rather than any actual system of government, but how do you propose world unity happen?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

pod264 In reply to Ezram [2009-04-23 19:07:23 +0000 UTC]

Well, since I thought this was a discussion about government, I thought you were referring to a world governmental power not a mental state of being.

well yer duh thats because obama is ahead and mcain is behind. obama just has to look composed, mccain is the one who has to change people's minds, with hardline tactics and trying to make obama look out of his depth...

anyway, go obama

But now, we hear and see accusations of Obama being a terrorist or associated with terrorist via random phone calls.

NOBAMA NO 8!

McCain has experience, Obama is just.... well obama... I think it;s funny how Obama has been such great firneds with his pastor, but once that pastor says something once Obama runs for president, THEN he cuts connections with the pastor, no to mention Jessee Jackson! Obama is lying to us... He is obviously racist towards whites! And what change is this man going to give us!?So far all he;s been saying is

"WE WANT CHANGE!"

Arnold Schwarzennegger: "JA! HOPE THAT SOMEONE WILL CHANGE YOUR DIAPER!"

McCain doesn't have experience. not any of note anyway; and his being a crappy pilot doesn't qualify him for president.

Obama is a politician. so are all other politicians. Obama having such a variety of friends shows his strengths, that he isn't a dogmatic person.

Obama = smart, capable, and good diplomat.

McCain = opinionated, also a politician, and not a very good pilot.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

GEKITOUNARUTO53 In reply to RicardoEstrada [2008-08-22 05:27:31 +0000 UTC]

hahaha "no experience?"

His two sons are military officers, he was a prisoner of war, and he has much more experience then this Obama Nation (Abomination). and theres no such thing as a crappy pilot you ignoramus! To become a pilot you have to go through strenous, demanding training, only the BEST people can be pilots!

Well some of his friends are mighty shady... That doesnt show strength to hang around shady characters. Having a variety of friends doesnt make you stronger!

He is a very fine politician, but he doesnt have what it takes to become president

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

RicardoEstrada In reply to GEKITOUNARUTO53 [2009-11-01 10:27:54 +0000 UTC]

He became president.

I know several pilots, Military and civilian, that I wouldn't trust with a child.

Having a variety of friends does make you stronger, there isn't even an argument to be made here; If you don't agree then, well, it kind of circles inwardly to explain your misconceptions.

Take a logic class.

How does any of that make him more qualified to run our country?

NO ONE who runs for president really has experience, being around it and actually doing it are two completely different things.
