Started out as just a random sketch but then I tacked on more as an excuse for some backstory.

Halona didn't expect to hear back from anyone after leaving her colony and the last person she would ever want to talk to again is her far more sadistic and manipulative sister, Ceannai.

Ceannai never really had any love for any of her siblings, as she viewed her clutch-mates as nothing more than rivals or nuisances and her narcissism led her to believe that she was the epitome of her species' culture- cunning, manipulative, and vicious. She picked on Halona in particular for her maverick behavior in the colony, and her unusual curiosity with the cultures of their prey.

And despite being the only one from home to contact her, Halona cuts the transmission short- knowing well enough that the animosity between her and Ceannai hasn't changed even after her departure.
