Description Bleach Chapter 277, Page 6, Panel 2 - Orihime. She is responding to Grimmjow's demand that she heal Ichigo (after Ulquiorra killed him) so that Grimmjow can fight Ichigo again.

I've been meaning to do this panel for a while, but have just been in an art funk lately. So when the latest WSAC contest theme over on OneManga Forums (#91) was "Colored Manga Scan/Page", I figured here was my chance to hop back on the horse and do something. Anything.

I have a feeling I'll always be shaky on hair, but it's not too bad actually. The secondary light source seems to be working well (it's supposed to be glow from her healing technique, FYI). At least it doesn't look like it's out of place to me.

All in all, I'm pleased with how the panel turned out.

Photoshop 7, crappy Wacom tablet and about 3 hours total.

Thanks! I rather like coloring Orihime, if only because doing red/orange hair is so fun.

Rhyssa - I think this beautiful! I love the hair. And the 2nd light source doesn't seem out of place at all to me.

Thanks! It's nice to be back doing some art again.

I've never had much problem with doing a single light source, but multiple ones always defeated me before. I did the whole image first, then added the secondary source on a separate layer, so I could get rid of it in case I didn't like.

Aw, thanks, Shalis! I've had good luck with hair when the lineart is quality, aka someone else's art. When I'm doing my own lines though, it seems I never like how the hair turns out.
