Nice Picture! Been to wales once. A very scenic country ... I Specially remeber driving through Snowdonia with a car on the verge of breaking down. Quite an adventure.

I suppose so...though aiming high doesn't work all of the time. Having said that, it will allow you more opportunities, but there are many great photographers without a full frame camera, etc.
Pixel quality doesn't come to much use unless you intend on doing a lot of printing?
I mean, pixel quality is usually higher in DSLRs anyway, over the point and shoot, I mean.

yes but when you want to take dark shots, more detail will be gained, therefore you can do more with it
