Pencil sketch with digital color overlay.He felt it taking over. Natsu sensed the creature inside his mind slowly shoving his consciousness to the side. He was about to lose control to the beast within, and the initial transformation terrified him. He could feel the beast clawing to the surface. He wanted to stop it, hold it in, keep the beast buried, but...he couldn't, and he knew he was going to lose this battle. He looked behind his shoulder to the one he wants to protect more than anything. In a hoarse whisper tainted by the beast's growl, he urged her, "Run, Lucy. Get away from here. Get away...from me!"
This is for my fanfic Beastly Possession . I had fun figuring out how to draw the two sides of Natsu's face, especially how to make a single mouth both snarl with bloodlust and grimace in terror.
The basic pose was inspired by Chapter 8 of the manga Parasyte . Awesome gory horror story! It's an oldie, but it was recommended due to some similarities with "Beastly."

I know, and I'm really sorry. The next chapter is soooo close to being finished, and then I got stuck on a scene. It's driving me nuts, since the beginning and end of the chapter are ALL DONE, just that one stupid scene (a fight scene, my worst subjects!)
