Here’s Nellie, a new OC of mine! She actually has kind of a tragic backstory.

There was a small engine on the island of Sodor a long time ago. She could do most anything, like shunting and hauling, as most trains did. She wanted to make herself a very useful engine. That engine was Nellie.

It seemed like any other day on Sodor. Nellie was hard at work, making a delivery to the docks. She pulled a few trucks of supplies behind her. But as she made her way into the docks, she hadn’t realized that there was an oil spill on the tracks, making it difficult for her to stop. That’s when a terrible accident occurred. She crashed and bumped into other objects, until she was pushed right of the track. Her fast and slippery wheels lead her straight into the ocean. She began sinking to the depths of the ocean.

We come to present day, where fishers are out at sea catching fish. They came back to tell everyone that something big had got snagged on their nets. They realized that there was a train snagged on the net. And with the proper gear, they were able to rescue that train from the water. Nellie was freed from the ocean.

This is her after a fresh coat of new paint, of course. Perhaps I’ll do an older version and a rusted version in the future.
