here, I think, the clouds just stay gray,
but no rain seems to fall, there's no excuse to decay
your eyes fall apart and so fades the blue sight
you whisper in fear that you're losing sunlight.

so is that where the sun sets?
I swear I lost it in your eyes
like the fatal moment that we met
when the sun seemed to die in the skies.

the wind blows past like a terrible storm
no lightning strikes down, so we're not really on form
I dream of the sunset, you dream of the rise
they whisper in fear that we've met our demise.

so that's where the sun sets...
but I'm really too afraid to try
the risk is too great, it'll blind me I bet
so I'll just let the sun stay in the sky.
