I'm sorry for your loss. My dog, Lady, who lived to be 15, passed away last August. It broke my heart (it always does). This is a nice tribute to a good friend.

In my family they are definitely members. I've had dogs all my life. It's extremely painful when they pass but they are so worth it. I have a new dog that is just wonderful. It's actually nice having a young dog around again (when Lady got old she didn't play as much anymore). My new dog and my last dog were rescue dogs. I think they really do make the best dogs.

I so agree!
One of our older dogs who is now having trouble with his back legs, he can no longer climb the few steps like he used to or get in bed with us anymore. We have him on medication so that he can walk better but we know that because of his legs giving way he may only be with us for another year
It's so sad when you lose a pet thats a best friend and a family member
