I have theory, Ranma finally got the common sense to order Nannichuan water of the internet.
When he got it, his dad, Ryoga or Mousse found out and fought him for it.

Then after a lengthy struggle it landed on Akane, while Ranma falls into the cold water of the Tendo pond...
So now Akane is about the punish Ranma? XD

Not so much being selfish, just being careful just in case the bottle broke. So he would have a few spares. Then I remembered how careful he is, and realized my mistake.

Bah, they would sell it easily, seeing how they have a huge pond of it. That they can easily refill at any time simply by adding more regular water.

Random vendors through out the series had the real stuff at times and Ranma and friends always screwed it up in the end...
