In my art history class recently, we learnt about the significance of "automatism" in early 20th-century surrealism, where automatism was a manner of seeking out one's own subconscious. I tried it recently, but the first time I did it, I think part of me died. 
And that's why this appeals to me -- it seems to me that it's commonplace to see surrealism around here become just a smattering of symbology (I know I'm guilty of that, although when properly applied symbology isn't necessarily bad), and it's cool to see something that seems to appeal more to traditional surrealist technique like this does.

thank you for your comment. This piece is of great importance to me, because i got to observe what my hands did unconciously and gave me the chance to discover whats in it and turn it into an image of my inner world.

This shift from unconsciousnes to consciousness is worth experiencin in the sense that you get to discover what your potentials are in both aspects... It is an inner discovery of turning your own matter into an invention.
