I don't think I have to tell who they are. But if you are clueless, here goes a short explanation anyways.That's Rowen at the age of 9. And that girl is his friend Mandy (12 years). They both loved to read (she liked horses a lot) and they used to hang out a lot in the library.
She was bullied like him, because she liked to dress very boyish. Rowen stood up for her many times, getting beaten for it. But he never cared.
Sometimes Rowen visited her and even slept on her house a couple times. He was the only friend he had back then.
Rowen was in love with her. She never knew.
After 7th grade she moved with her parents to another city. Rowen never saw her again.
