The Braelmen appeared in the eastern wasteland that was now the Kharrian empire, haunting and dividing brothers and cities where they walked. It was said they had the power to restore Kharria to its former glories, if only Kharria would kneel down to them. They had mysterious powers and promises, the rivers would return, the crops resown, the fires of Kandil Voien would be relit, refueling their derelict airships and foundries.
