I believe that by having the image, as you say, "confusing" this allows it to be open for interpretation. Which, I think, is the main reason for art: to allow people to see what they want and interpret what they are viewing for what they believe. I think this piece is a stroke of genius, and very well done!

Just noticed your comment, and I must say it feels like reading my own words.
Of course I have my own idea when creating something, but like you said I like to leave it to the viwer to interpret it anyway he/she wants. I'm always surprised and amazed how differently people see it.

I always go into a piece with an idea in my head, but it's just like reading a book; not all the symbols are the same or have the same meaning for everyone. It's all about opinion and people opening their minds. What kind of world would we live in if we are told what everything means and that's that, no personal interpretations? Shoot, life would be boring!
