Post collapse, several years into what is now referred to as the Zompocalypse, the surviving humans are few in number. Dempsey is one of those lucky survivors, now part of a rag-tag group dedicated to getting humanity back from the brink of extinction. Out on one of her perimeter patrols.. she stops her vehicle, and scans the area for the living-dead.. it's quiet.. very quiet. The day has been hot and gritty, and it seems like a good moment to take in the fresh air and relax, if only for a few moments.
