A good friend requested that I put up a picture of my dice so, here it is. I know it seems silly, and I may not leave it, but I though hey, lets try to make it look like I can do real awesome photography..
I have about 8 others, but I though this one was kind of okay.. so darling, here you go..

I used to be a gamer. The friend and cousins I played these games with have been uber busy lately with their lives, so.. I'm not gaming right now.
I don't have any of those diamond-shaped dice. Probably because I haven't tried D&D. I don't know any other games that have dice like that.

Sweeeeetttt!!!! A real gamer!!!! It's nice to see some who still do live in person table top gaming! Is your group the smash and grab gamers or do you get more into the actual roll-playing and back story stuff?

I love back stories. I have my own world, my own deities, everything.. I never like any smash and grab or hack/slash stuff even when I was only involved as a pc.. I think if your going to do it.. take your time and savor the experience you know??
And yup.. Rare girl gamer, Rare girl sanctioned Dungeon Master (I still can't manage to call myself a GM), and I LOVE sitting about the table grinning with a twinkly in my eye saying to the mischeivous "I need you to roll me a percentile on that their attempt please and thank you!"

That is D&D the way it should be- not what WOTC has done to it! They've ruined things with the current incarnation- and I used to do freelance writing for a small company that did PC suppliments too, but now that WOTC screwed everyone with the d20 licensing thing... Ugh... I wrote some really involved stuff for new player classes and new takes on old player races...but now it doesn't and can't sell. It seemed that the main people who were buying products anyway were not the role-playing focussed types, and that was to whom my stuff would have appealed anyway...oh well.
I always prefered back-story heavy and roll playing heavy campaigns, but most of the groups I used to game with were always about power and smash-and-grab stuff, so I always got bored. I've only ever had two decent DM's...the rest should not have been on that side of the screen.

I actually use tons of stuff from 3.5, but always just as a reference.. I still am personal touch heavy on just about everything I do.. and I think that's what keeps it totally fun for me.. I had DM's that were book strict and if you couldn't find a rule for it in a text, you didn't get to do it.. then one day, I got a DM that said can you give me a good reason why this might work? And I made something up real quick and he said 'alright.. give it a try!'
I was hooked after that!
I am sorry that it went and screwed with your stuff.. My boyfriend thought that I should submit my world Ideas and stuff to WOTC when they were doing that whole new gaming thing a few years back, but I just couldn't.. even for the money, which I promise you, with teenagers in the house, we could use desperately. But, I couldn't.. it was my baby and the thought of them taking it and screwing with it was too much. I have put years into it.. it's mine damnit!

HAHA!! I run my own world, and most of my players have been friends for years. We had one or two people that were total drama, but for the most part, things were cool. I have a new generation of gamers in two of my kids, and a few old school friends to wander around with. I miss playing though...Always a DM, never a ranger..
