Thanks for the good words about this work!

This speaks to me of one would normally think of a woman giving her life to bringing a child into this world, but in a way, Mary Magdalene did for Jesus Christ however 'immaculate' she was still pregnant!

This is a very important topic for me, I started to make a new picture, it is dedicated to the birth of the first man. Maybe there will be some of the biblical association and characters, but in my style of course. Thanks for your thoughts

I would love to hear more of where you are in the creation of this picture. What inspired it in you? I've been thinking the same things lately, the entire thought process has reverted in me back to contemplating such. I know you'll understand when I say that I cannot put all my belief into one line of thought like Christianity even though I know it exists, but like your art the way it speaks to me reflects a lot of eastern philosophy. I believe in all and nothing~

I thought about the great energy connection of all beings living on this planet with the Creator. The pyramids are machines for the connection between the cosmos and people in my opinion. I'm not trying to be in conflict with religions. All the gods can coexist in this universe, they just different and unique like languages. Our minds are just not able to understand some global things and it is absolutely normal for humans

Oh you are so in tune with the way I think. I believe whatever brought you and I together here as friends is no accident. I tell people, and generally they look at me like I'm crazy, that I pray to all the gods and see which one will answer, I mean it. Here in the Bible Belt of America, if you would dare speak your mind for any philosophy other then Christian, you're burnt at the stake. However normal for humans, there are a few of then who aren't so normal, I like to think deep if I'm going to think!

You know I'm a little surprised! It seems America is a country of many religions and true freedom. I understand that Christianity dominates other official beliefs, but your country has always been the cradle of new religious movements. They are certainly in the minority, but people can have their own point of view and way of knowing. It helps to find something new in my opinion.

America is in a state of transition, an invisible taking back of the land movement by the Native Americans, the 'straight and narrow' people ruling all the government, the ignorance of the masses who only think bad things happen on television, the lack of work ethic on the part of anyone under forty, the general not caring about anyone but oneself has left open a door for a lot of horror to come through the cracks for those of us who choose to have a greater understanding of conscious. The ones who are in the process of awakening are persecuted for being mentally ill and locked up by the state over and over again.

TV always distorts the situation, it shows a more positive things for others and a ton of negativity for those who live in the country. It seems this rule works in many countries, at least I can see this situation in Russia, almost every day. Despite the fact that I try to avoid politics, it often affects my life. Dissent was persecuted and condemned in all time. The government "loves" those who follow the system...

Same here. I guess same everywhere. I have another good Russian friend on here, *Agetian , such a good hearted nice human being. He's too young to remember though, like I do, as a teenager we were deathly afraid of anyone russian because of the cold war. However, I've always spoke my mind too much I guess as I got older. I've learned that it's best to follow the rules even though I don't talk politics or religion with people, it's just a roundabout on who's got the upper edge.

The era of the Cold War was a good time for political propaganda. Politicians got many good bonuses from these events. I know in the U.S. the atmosphere was more alarming than in the Soviet union. Here, ordinary people are not particularly thought about the reality of the war, honestly thoughts were busy with other internal problems. Now is another propaganda but smart people are not kept in these tricks as always.

I hear you! What America is doing now to dirty the Russian reputation is having constant television episodes about Russians being in the Russian Mob and that every female (and her name is always Natasha) is a gold digging prostitute. I hate TV and I hate when people believe or are hynotized by the crap on tv. I've never met any but nice Russian Americans. Now Americans are at war and don't believe it's real either, even though it's been ten years since Bush sent the first troops to the middle east. My husband who's passed away now four years, he is an Army veteran and he had much difficulty adjusting to civilian life after being in two conflicts.

I heard about this course. The negative image is always very beneficial for political propaganda. Honestly, the image of Russians in the American movies are always made me laugh, all the stereotypes looks really funny but many of them are very outdated Some constructive criticism can be useful, but the image of a real enemy is fiction in my opinion. Always thought that the name Natasha is popular only in Turkey

The war change people's lives, my grandfather fought in the Second World War. I know it is not by hearsay

My 1st impression is that it is somewhat autobiographical; of a boy who dreamed of being an astronaut. The cacti conducting visions of another space & time. Head been too muddled to comment....still not thinking clearly. But like always your artwork intrigues me with its uniqueness & originality.

very interesting association, I recall some of my dreams about cosmos especially when I walked with my dog and beheld stars and moon in frosty night sky. Cactus, Great pyramids and the man is connected with cosmos, this is a great energy circle

glunac In reply to retransmission [2010-12-14 15:06:46 +0000 UTC]

Yes, a circle of energy works well.

I tried to write "cocoon" but couldn't remember how to spell it & my spell check was being difficult.
As in:

The cactus is acting like a cocoon; a boy enters & an Astronaut emerges.
