Makes me think of my character Rilya (short for Remember I Love You Always) Muhammad Sharif and Mary Fatima (Marriam Fatimah) Alhazmi who shared a red headscarf (later character is older and passes it on to the younger as a gift). Anyhow I am surprise I hadn't made the Little Red Riding Hood (influence?) to my own characters.
