Melancholic, perhaps prepares for his last dream of which he may not wake up

Beautifully said, although very sad. He's so lonely. Thank you very much.

Awesome drawing! It's a shame they are not around anymore. Why do you think they went extinct?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Renum63 In reply to GuillermoLabrador [2017-08-07 10:07:51 +0000 UTC]

It went extinct well earlier than many other species of the Ice Age megafauna, so it's a bit of a mystery. It had already survived several climate shifts, so it maybe wasn't the only reason. By that time there were not many modern humans around but they possibly competed for the same type of shelter. Cave bears are thought to have been hibernating especially in caves, lacking the flexibility of the extant brown bear in that sense.

I thinkk they definetly interacted in some form. I have seen cave art of cave bears. It would be a shame if humans had to do with their demise. But I suppose that was not uncommon, as we possibly also erradicated other species of megafauna like the moa in New Zealand.Β

To blame humans for every lost species is almost like a cliche, but since so many animals are at the brink of extinction even now and definitely because of man it's hard to believe anything else. Humans just don't play by the rules.

Yeah it is a shame. But at least now there are some awareness that driving a species to extinction is bad. A 100 years ago people wouldn't care at all.

Who needs pandas when this teddy bear is more endangered yet equally heart melting.

Yes, but since it's too late for the cave bears let's save the panda anyway. Thanks.
