Unfortunately, no. Not even in the new seasons. they have some cute moments together, but its never quite a concrete thing. Pity, because they are cute together.

Okay no, seriously, thats kinda silly. I think an anime can only run for so many years before you have to just shut up and do it already. Romantic tension can last for a long time but come on...

Considering how strong the Lina/Gourry thing is in the second series, nothing concrete comes from that either. the focus of the show always seemed to lean more towards adventures and silliness, so I really don't mind it. I guess it's a matter of personal taste. :3 They're cute together, even without any sloppy makeouts.

Well yes thats very true as well. The show DOES focus around the silliness and the adventure aspect of it, but I guess even just a LITTLE solid evidence would be nice. I'm sure in a world like theirs, they've come across a couple fares now and then. Why couldn't they coincidentally get stuck riding the ferris wheel together cuz she's too short to ride? Comedy!

Also yes, Lina and Gourry make it VERY obvious. I remember in the episodes i DID see, there was basically a flat out admission. I guess I dont really care what they DO as long as its acknowledged...

Throughout the third season it seems like they're setting them up as a couple, and there are very strong hints throughout that the feeling it mutual.

However, that is completely dropped in Revolution and Evolution-R, with the only point in the relationship direction being that when they first appear, they've apparently been traveling together. However, any closeness that could have implied is never reflected in anything they do throughout the entire season.

ok I am very late commenting, Cause I just don't check DA anymore, but There are some signs in Revo and Evo-R. It's just not as major as NEXT and TRY. Zel being knighted to being Amelia's protector was pretty awesome. (Even if it was an excuse to get him into the show) There are moments where there is touching. Zel laying his hand protectively on Amelia's shoulder. Amelia clinging to Zel's arm when in a scary tower and he doesn't mind at all. They are both extremely comfortable with each other. Always stay together. Sit together. Amelia is almost crushed to death in front of Zel, and he is screaming for her and trying to help her. They do share a lot of trust and fondness. Like now.. it's no big deal if Zel jumps in and scoops Amelia up in his arms to get her out of danger. She knows he cares, and so isn't shocked or blushing when she notices he saves her. (And he does a couple times) He chooses to fight and stay with her.

So their relationship has just taken a big step forward into very comfortable and close. They are almost even with the closeness that Lina and Gourry share. I too, was sad about the new season and felt that they just shoved the two together and forgot to develop their relationship, but then I realized... they did.. It's just not obvious.
