Kratoz dukin it out with a band of 300 leather underwear lovin fellow Spartans. Made for 's single battle week 9.Them battling it out probably doesn't make a lot of sense but i couldn't let go of how epic such a scene would be. So, thanks
It was difficult to categorize this piece accordin to dA's logical category system coz it's both fanart for a game, a film and a comic. It's about Kratos so i went for the Games cat.

Well Kratos would realize they are Spartans and lead them to conquer THE ENTIRE WORLD. Seriously, in a match-up with Kratos versus the entire Persian army, Kratos wins within a day, tops.

Totally epic idea man, and brilliant execution, very dynamic. So pissed I missed this battle, just finished playing God of War 3 like 2 weeks ago, just have to say that The ghost of Sparta would have surely fucked up Leonidas, Kratos is the shizznizz.

Renny, since I'm not a judge I'm going to go out on a limb early and say this is my absolute favorite piece in this Kratos battle - which is saying something since all these pieces have been outstanding. For a bunch of reasons:
1 - Your style is just incredible, can always identify your work on any character, you always inject your own vibe into these battles.
2 - its just totally lush in color, like some mad Disney goes apeshit inspiration....incredible to see.
3 - the dynamics, pose, story in this is just spot on - those chains look 3D!....this was the exact pose I suggested to voltage for a kratos sketch - pretty much how I see him at his most potent.
4 - You totally, totally killed the concept of kratos vs 300.....when I suggested it i didn't know if anyone would attempt it, and never expected it to be done to such high effect. You brought the fucking talent min-gun to this battle for real!!!
A true joy of a piece, epic in scope and talent.
This my friend, gets my vote for Kratos Masterpiece.

Thanks so much on the big feedback man. Let's me know i should stick to these guns i got now and evolve them further. Lovin the disney ref. lol. I definitely took up on your suggestion in the battle's comment section, it just stuck. I was like, awesomesauce! Quickly sketched out teh layout and poses on a little square piece of paper and that idea has hardly changed in the end result. Initially they were to be fighting on a mountain of skulls but i didn't feel it would have the same visual impact and diversity on screen.

cool to hear some of your process, this definitely works better than the skulls IMO.
Not sure why i thought of Disney, I think probably because the high caliber and vivid coloring! But its definitely your own thing, and I'd for sure stick with evolving it - great stuff to see each week.
