okay so like get the 48 set then once the run out just buy them singularly?
and letraset? never heard of it but i'll keep an eye out for it

letraset makes tria (which is uber expensive, nib changing capable) and promarker (the cheaper verison)
the best thing is that with letraset markers you can hook em up to an airbrush system. Now, if only I could get my hands on $90, I'd get the airbrush system. Leraset's markers paper is very good too (and the cheapest on the market)
you still could go for the 24 set - and singly buy colours you want. There might be colours you don't need, and colours you want that aren't in the 48 even. Lol, I went through my markers, and I only have 40. I bought 2 prismacolour sets, 1 letraset set, and a ton of singles. But 48 has alot of colours you would want, anyways - so it's a safe bet too. ^____^

Nice. I've been wondering about markers and if the good ones were REALLY as good as they're supposed to be. I think I saw someone using a type of prismas in my art class and it wasn't that great. or maybe I was just pissed off that the sharpie like markers I used were dried out from abuse and bled all over my regluar paper.
so really there isn't too much to getting it to look awsome, huh? yay.

*nods* I was like that too at first - "wtf, these markers are like $5 each! what makes them better than those cherry scented ones I used in grade 2?"
But yeah - with some good paper and good markers, it's easy to get good results. It didn't take me very long to get decent at using them - but I think once I got marker paper, there was serious improvement (no bleeding and huge blotches everywehre) Kinda looks photoshoped cel style, and takes like half the time.
Prismacolour ones are super stinky! I think they rival those sharpies.... *dies from the fumes*
