Update 11/20/2016: Just updating the picture because I've changed the rules (mainly that I'm not keeping track of owners/designs), have fun with your Lumimi and just credit & tag me please, if you make one! <3

Lumimi are an OPEN species by MrsRemi / Remi-Adopt <3
The purple Panda Lumimi is still nameless, but he is the mascot of all Lumimis!

Since these are an open species, you can make your own as you please.

The only rules are:
1. Give proper credit & tag me please <3
2. No need to ask if you want to create one!!

Please do not make adopts to sell, these should be free for everyone.

I'm not keeping an ownerlist, since the species is just open anyways ;w;
You can just tag by doing @ Username (MrsRemi or Remi-Stuff). Keep in mind that they still took me a long time to make, so please respect my rules.

SPECIES INFOS:

Lumimis are tiny little creatures that float around at night. They carry little items with them and have very "special" eyes, that are used to help babies and children fall asleep.
They can also walk around on the ground, but they prefer floating just a little bit over the ground (they would not fly very high, the shoulders of a human might even be too high for them).
Their two antennas help them find people who have insomnia or just a bad night. Lumimis have very soft voices that sound very similar to bells ringing. They have no other vocal way to communicate.

However, these critters seem to have a very colorful personality and therefore make great pets and companions for anybody who can cope with their sleeping patterns, as they are nocturnal.

HATCHLINGS:

Lumimis hatch at a size of 1cm / 0.4in, are very fragile and cannot open their eyes yet. As soon as they are hatched, they go to search for a marble that they can bond with.
Hatchlings have very soft skin on their belly, which is almost transparent to make it easier for the marble to be absorbed. They still have to develope their hindlegs too.

Usually, they will go for the marble that is closest to them but some will be picky about it and go on longer journeys. The longer it takes for a Lumimi to find its marble, the smaller it will appear on their bellies when they are babies.
Warning: DO NOT SEPERATE HATCHLING AFTER IT'S ATTACHED TO THE MARBLE! It can cause severe injuries and affect the growth of the little hatchling.

MARBLES:

Marbles can be found in the Mandu Garden and are necessary for the Lumimi to evolve properly. The Mandu Garden is the heart of the Mandu-Palace as all the babies will be born and taken care of in there (more infos soon).
The type of marble will determine the Lumimi's element and lifestyle. It is very rare for the marble to actually have a different shape, and only some Lumimis choose to bond with them as they don't recognize them as marbles.

Currently known elements:
No element
Fire (dragons, reptiles)
Aqua (fish, other marine animals)
Air (birds, cloud-creatures)
Magic (fantasy, may use magic)
Mysthic (surprise)

MARBLES HAVE TO BE ROUND, OTHERWISE IT WILL COUNT AS A BODY MARKING FROM MUTATIONS.

BABIES:

A Lumimi is considered a baby the moment it has absorbed its marble to a point where it becomes a part of it. That usually happens when they are 8-10cm / 3-4in tall. The marble on their belly can have any colour, on rare cases, it might have some markings.

By now, it should be clear what kind of element the Lumimi is going to evolve to and you can watch them develope their personality very fast. They are still confused about their sleeping pattern, so it is not uncommon to see some Lumimi babies being awake at daytime and playing with other creatures or disturbing their sleeping friends. Their eyes have no sclera and no pupils, they seem bright and clear.

ADULTS:

Adult Lumimis won't grow bigger than 15-20cm / 6-8in. They have very fluffy neckfur and a fluffy tail.
The marble is fully absorbed and glows from the inside - this is why they always emit a soft light from their bodies. As they grow up, the placement of their item can change (f.ex. from tail-tip to full tail as shown above).

By now, their eyes should show their true beauty: they start simulating the night skies, water reflections, or other nature phenomenas that they have seen before. They still do not have pupils or scleras.
If you look into them for too long, you will start feeling drowsy and fall asleep (which is the purpose of those eyes). Adult Lumimis now have no problems in aiding people/animals to sleep, but they can also control their "powers", so that you can be around them for a while and enjoy their presence without being about to pass out.

(EDIT: Adults have the same ears as when they were hatchlings/babies! I just used the Panda mascot as the adult example, so it might be confusing )

MUTATIONS:

((To be honest, the mutation on the sheet is not very well-made to display the actual mutations. Sorry about that.))

If hatchlings get seperated from their marbles or simply decided to not bond with a marble, they will miss an important part of their evolution and mutate.
Even though they are not nocturnal, many of the mutations will try to avoid the sun by covering themselves in capes, hats or carrying an umbrella-leaf.

Mutated Lumimis can be determined by following features:
- Awake at daytime
- Eyes with sclera
- Eyes can simulate galaxies / magical places that haven't been seen before
- Darker colours
- No inner glow
- Items don't glow
- Scar/big patterns on their bellies.
- Some have vocal chords, that they can use to immitate animal sounds (mostly chirping sounds)
- Certain other traits are only available for mutations ((soon))
