The eye plates remind me kinda of ankylosaurs and the like who have armour-eyelids. They seem good for defence from below and the side the way you mae them. Probably would be a good creature to just ram its head against stuff with side swiping movements. Also alot of like snakes and stuff get grabbed by the jaw and back of head to open their maws itit might be a tad difficut with the jaw armour and the spikes everywhere

I'm loving all the varying thicknesses of the lineart here!! gives it a good sense of depth despite there being no shading - which means your foreshortening is spot on ehehe

Yiss lovely teethies, and the scale blinders is a neat idea too. I also like the beak like tip on the upper jaw

Love this so much! The way you only really added colour to the eye really makes it stand out! ^-^

Horses do wear those blinders! However they make the horse skittish and overly spooky, as most of the horse's vision is to its sides; it has two blindspots directly in front of and directly behind them. A predatory dragon would have its eyes pointed more forward, like raptors or humans (unless they're like Nadders in How To Train Your Dragon or you want a side-eye aesthetic cuz why not) and natural blinders like those jaw-scale-plates would be efficient in focusing their eyesight directly in front of them, on their quarry. Also serving the purpose that horse blinders were meant to serve, but failed at: focusing them on the task at hand.
Sorry, totally brought out the horse nerd in me.
