Oh, don't worry, they brought Peter Davison back for that Children in Need special, then they brought Tennant back, then they brought Tom Baker back, then they brought all the Doctors back, so they'll probably bring Matt back at some point, too.

Yeah, I'm sure of it! Besides, Matt left the show on good terms (unlike Eccleston), so I'm sure he'll come back some sooner or later. I'm just a bit sad that we won't be seeing him every week.

Like most of my work I kinda make it up as I go along but this piece is great and I would love to include it. Once I'm done I'll send it to you first to see if it's alright if you want?

This is amazing, and I love it. I'm still broken-hearted about the Fall of the 11th, but looking forward to the rise of the 12th.

Did you have a reference for the side view off the console or just wing it?

I did it based on a screencap from "The Snowmen", so I wouldn't bet on it's exact accuracy.

You're welcome
How about splitting it down the TARDIS console? Β With 10 on one side and 11 on the other and the text '...regrets' and '...forgets' above/near each Doctor?

Great work, yeah I never liked Matt Smith when he first started I was a RTD era fan and really enjoyed David Tennant andΒ Christopher Eccleston, however after watching through the Matt Smith a second time I haveΒ come to like him. Of course this happens just as he is about to leave. I do have a big positive feeling about the new Doctor something I never had with Matt Smith when I found out he was heading in as the new Doctor.Β
Though to be honest I think Steven Moffat was the real problem behind the series for me (not so much Matt Smith an actor has to act the cards he's dealt), he changed so much so quickly it felt more like a reboot than a true continuation. Β

Thanks!
A lot of people told me something similar happened to them when Matt Smith was starting as the Doctor. I actually started watching the series during his first season, and after it finished I went back to the RTD era. So it was kinda the opposite for me, going from Smith to Eccleston was weird, but with time I also learned to love those other, different Doctors.
As for the whole Moffat thing, I believe that the stories and arcs remained pretty similar in their core to what they were under RTD. However, I think Moffat is much more dramatic in his writing, which is great in small doses but can become tiresome if done all the time.

I actually grew up with some of the other doctors like Peter Davidson, Sylvester McCoy etc and so when they started up the series again in 2005 it just felt right. When Moffat took over the show, the series felt like it was rebooted. He has also overused a lot of things (Weeping Angels have been done to death to a point they are no longer interesting or scary) and changed so much so quickly in his first season that it was almost like a totally new show. No connections like the 10th had with the 9th era for example. I really think not having a companion at the end of the 10th's time did damage the series a bit as there was no familiarity, something I am glad hasn't happened this time. I really like Clara and hope she sticks around for a while. Unfortunately I was never a fan of Pond but didn't mind Rory.Β
Still I am hopeful and have a good vibe for the 12th Doctor, hopefully things will pick up for me.

Yeah, I have to agree that after going back to the 11 series, sometimes the lack of connections with the RTD era felt very awkward.
As for the Ponds, I'm neutral to them. I don't particularly like them, but they aren't particularly bad either in my opinion. I do like Clara a lot though, and I believe that her presence, as well as an older Doctor, will make things much more interesting.Β
Lets hope for a bright future! (and past, given the show's nature)

Yeah Clara is he highlight of the Moffat series for me, I am very looking forward to seeing how this new Doctor will turn out. It's good to see an older Doctor again.Β
