I had only just bought my Rebel G2 when I decided to go down to the Botanical Garden here in Memphis and give it a whirl. This is one of the results. I could not believe the idyllic appearance of the Japanese Garden here. If you've ever been to Memphis, you know that for the most part the whole place is just disgustingly nasty. I was pleasantly surprised to see this little bit of beauty in the middle of all that. The same can be said for the rest of the Gardens. Even in fall it was quite amazing.Related content

Very nice, It would be better if the trees had a bit more color to them, but i certainly do like the Bridge

Yeah I have a more saturated version of the picture, but the red of the bridge is WAY blown out. One of these days I'll just contrast the trees more deeply and leave the bridge alone. I may have to submit that to photomanip though.

Oh one more thing I forgot to mention, I waited close to an hour for that woman and her child to get off the bridge so I could get a clean shot, but they were feeding Koi and the kid was into it, so eventually I had to just take the shot with them in it. I was disappointed, but I don't think it takes TOO much away from the overall picture. I don't like them there, but some may.
