Description
It was Spring break at Moonshire's elementary school, most of the pack members of the Arvryd pack had gone home for the week to be with their famelies. Leaving only a few of the members on the Island, Ronald, Keired, Brandon, Hannah and Zaheer. In a few weeks there would be a full moon so none could turn wolf and patrol their territory for now so they had more time finding out more about the supernatural creatures on the mysterious island.

However there was the matter of having fun as well, Ronald had decided to take the gang to the Misty swamps at the edge of the Shadow-veil woods where a relative to the werewolf had a lodge close to the swamp. Though the swamp was prohibited the area around the damp landscape was not and several ponds filled with fish and was an popular fishing spot and even had a small club.

Though the gang was not there to fish they decided to have a look at the landscape as none of the others exept for Ronald had been there before and it was cool to see a fisher being able to catch an old pike which could be enormous since the population of pike was thriving.
Shortly after arraving at the fishing spot Brandon caught words of a girl around their age gone missing around here and told the others about. They asked the girls father who told them the last time he saw here she stood close to the border of the swamp and that she would never wander off by herself.

Hannah sugested that they should have a look around there and found peculiar footprints along with signs of something or someone being dragged away. At first Keired pointed out that it could be vampires behind this though was not sure because of the prints the girls kidnappers left behind looked more like a 'dinosaurs' as he stated. Since there wasn't a full moon that night the pack though it would be unwise to try and track her without something to defend themselves with.

Getting their hands on some weapons like a crowbar, hairspray with a lighter, baseball bat and a handgun they ventured out into the swamps whe the sun set. Each of them had a flashlight and followed the footprints that led them to a large tunnel leading underground beneath a large boulder and followed it. Not noticing the red eyes watching them from a distance. The tunnel was long and lead to several chambers filled with old tools, fishing nets, backpacks, sleeping bags though it had all been shred to pieces. Before They could have a better look at what else was down there Zaheer heard a clicking noise coming from one of the tunnels and they all turned their flashlights to see what was causing the sound.

The creature they saw was reptilian and was twice as big as a fully grown man and had long legs and arms with a peculiar reptilian head. Letting out hiss it started to approach the werewolves until Hannah grabbed a her lighter and hairspray and send a blast of fire causing the reptoid to escape they way it came from with a shriek.

The pack pursued the creature and it lead them over ground again through a hollowed out dead tree to a more darker and foggy part of the swamp on a small island. Keired who had the lead then lost track of the creature as it had run off out of sight though the beams of light from their torches attracted someone else's attention. Brandon then pointed out that he heard whimpering across a mass of water and spotted the girl laying on the bank of the water with her legs covered it cuts and claw marks.

Finding a way over to the other side on a small island in the middle of the pool of water they reached her and helped her up on her feet. She told them the creatures had grabbed her and dragged her here before injuring her legs so she couldn't walk and then just left her there when something had spooked them in the waters. As if speaking of the devil one of the reptilians jumped out from the dense forest and attempted to attack, managing to grab onto Brandon's shirt and cut it slightly until he hit it's elbow with the baseball bat causing it to withdraw a few meters and shriek in rage.

Ronald then pulled out the handgun and fired at the being, hitting it in the shoulder and right arm. With a snarl of pain the reptoid backed away, not moving it's gaze from the group.

The girl who they then learned her name was Ellen had a panic attack after the encounter with the beast and while Hannah and Zaheer tried to calm her down Ronald noticed the small island in the water started to move and out fo the murky waters a creature up to ten feet tall stood up and let out a demonic snarl at the werewolves and human. Ronald started to shoot at it to no avail as it only seemed to make the beast angrier so Hanna tried with fire again.

The massive being was about to charge though the sudden warmth and light from the fire confused it for a moment giving Keired time to lead Ellen a safe distance away from the water while the rest kept it busy. Zaheer, Brandon, Hannah and Ronald both shot the creature, beat it and burn it though it only strenghtened the massive beasts anger. Getting t close to it Zaheer was knocked back into the water by the beast as it hit his chest with it's giant fist then charged at him like a croc when something suddenly stopped it in it's tracks.

The hulking beast stopped and let out a series of distraught grunts and completely ignored Zaheer floating a few meters away and gave him time to escape back on the island while the creature started to smash the water around it in panic.

The others then found their way around the threat and swam back to the island with Ellen, not looking back when they heard the beast let out a shriek and then the sound of a splash was heard and the creature was gone. While the gang managed to escape the swamp with only a few brusises and a sore chests the reptoids from before watched the murky waters of the swamp as it turned red and something long and big, bigger then the creature was seen swimming under the surface.

So this was the first short episode of Blood Wolves mini series, I plan to write most of these like this. Although this one got longer then what I originaly intended for I like the way it came out.
