Description Avalon

One hundred thousand colors swirling,
Lost in mists of Avalon.
Dragon’s heads and horses rearing,
Wild-eyed gypsy vagabond.
Tambourines’ off-tempo tune.
Ghosts reflected in morning dew.

I lost my mind on Avalon isle.
Led there by a maid of Mer.
Enticèd by a tiger’s smile,
Tempted by his exotic air.
Dolphins laugh and willows cry,
See emotion in their eye.

Merlyn walked on Avalon’s shore,
Glassy eyes glitt’ring in the sun.
And though he seemed not older than four,
His trav’ling days were nearly done.
His features bore a contented gleam.
I sat on the sand to listen to him.

“Seek ye not your gems and Grails,
Put not your faith in worldly things.
Reality may be a faery tale,
Have faith and sprout ye faery wings.
In my long life, I have made one conclusion.
Reality is but an illusion.”
