This is an attempt at redesigning Robin's costume I found while going through my stack of sketches.. This was before the current Bruce Timm inspired design... the idea was that his costume would mostly be black but with a red torso (robin redbreast.. get it? Hello? Um...)Related content

He's been one of my faves since I was a kid.
So, I understand your bashfulness in accepting the comparison, but I encourage you to take that robin sketch and hold it up against some Alan Davis stuff. Especially his more recent/post-ClanDestine stuff. The similarities are striking and, I hope, encouraging.

Alan Davis... I just wish he would do more stuff in the DC Universe, something along the lines of a "Nail" ongoing would be perfect. At the very least he needs to do a run on JLA.. how has that not happened yet?

I don't really follow D.C., but I could swear I've seen some JLA stuff he did in the early 2000's. Maybe late 1990's.
It could have just been Hawkworld stuff, but I could swear he did a bit of DC while on hiatus from his on-and-off X-Men run.
