Why must your stuff be so delightful? My sketches never come out this well. Maybe I need a new tablet, like one that has a screen of its own.

Honestly it's all practice. I can sketch just like this on pencil and paper, the tools you use honestly don't really matter. Just keep practicing and setting goals for yourself!

That is my point exactly. My pencil-and-paper sketches end up better than my SAI sketches.

Your stuff always looks great.
I do agree with Mr. Martinez on Casey's head though.
Perhaps you need more of an ovalish rectanglish shape instead of a circle.

Some of the expressions on Marine remind me a bit of Pearl's expressions from Steven Universe. Its good to see that your reworking your characters in different ways.Β

Not a bad idea, methinks. It's additionally good that neither character has lost anything in translation; both retain their likenesses and range of expression, albeit with simpler anatomy.
Can't wait to see these in action!

I tried my best to not remove any of the appeal of how I usually draw these two. Also, I find that Casey's range of expression has greatly increased thanks to the rounder face!
