haha this made me laugh!! I love the reuse of the opposite hand (possibly foot) avatar of yourself (or bob barker as a palentologist?)
I love it.

Bob Bakker X'D
You noticed his 'Avatar' died in JP2? ;D (so funny insider joke in the movie )
You draw really nice Dinosaurs *envy* Great work ^^ (and the artmeme's funny ^^ reminds me of myself... Land before Time, Jurassic Park...)

I got a pretty good chuckle out of this. You like that foot-drawn avatar, don't you?

It's funny...I started out drawing dinosaurs, but I haven't even attempted one in YEARS. Now I'm more into fantasy (dragons ^_^ ) and my own creations, I guess.

Yeah, dragons are a really cool drawing subject too!! I started out drawing dinos, then moved more into dragons about 5 years ago, and now I'm back into dinos, although I draw dragons occasionally too.

Yay Bakker!! haha I'm glad to hear someone recognized him right away

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DancingCavy In reply to Red-Dilopho [2007-11-06 21:59:43 +0000 UTC]

He's my favorite paleontologist. I liked the charicature of him in "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." Both of his books The Dinosaur Heresis and Raptor Red were excellent.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Red-Dilopho In reply to DancingCavy [2007-11-06 23:03:10 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I recognized him in The Lost World too. He's my favourite paleontologist ( but Jack Horner suks! hahaha, well, just his "T-Rex is a scavenger" theory)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DancingCavy In reply to Red-Dilopho [2007-11-06 23:16:02 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I dunno where I weigh-in on the "T. rex is a scavenger" theory. There are so few true scavengers in the wild. But he does make some valid points. I like the idea of T. rex as a giant eating machine taking down Triceratops left and right anyway. Whether it's scientifically-based or not!

I've been to Jack Horner's museum. The Museum of the Rockies. But I didn't seem him there.

This is the best one I've seen! Well, I'm a little biased, I mean, dinosaurs and dragons, how can you go wrong? Lol Robert Bakker was an unexpected touch.
I think DinoRiders was the only show/movie you listed that I didn't watch as a child.

Raptor Red is awesome, if a bit unlikely. If Utahraptor actually was sentient, I'm sure it was like he described it... however...

But as fiction it is awesome. Love the repeated use of what I will call "foot-Bakker"

Red-Dilopho In reply to XavierMontague [2007-11-06 02:16:50 +0000 UTC]

Land Before Time = so much win!
(I'd never seen a picture of Bakker before. He looks like Santa Claus! Wikipedia puts his as a "biker/cowboy." xD)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Red-Dilopho In reply to hermiejr157 [2007-11-06 02:17:37 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, he's more like a biker/cowboy really, my depiction of him is very "Santa-Claus-y" I guess
