Description
This is a sketch of what I think might happen after the events of Halo 5.

After the events of Halo 5, Dr. Halsey, Blue Team, Osiris, and The Swords of Sanghelios manage to get in contact with Infinityand set up a rendezvous on Sanghelios. Unfortunately Cortana intercepts the transmission and just as Infinity and Arbiters forces are about to leave the system her Guardians subdue them, leading to a fierce confrontation between the Prometheans and the UNSC. Chief desperately pleads with Cortana to make her see the flaw in her plans and to come back to him, but she declines his pleas, leaving John hurt over this, but desperate to kill any promethean in his path.

Just when things start looking bad for Infinity, A slipspace portal opens up and more Forerunner ships come pouring out. However instead of attacking Infinity and the Arbiter's fleet, they attack the Guardian, hitting all of it's weak points and freeing the ships from it's hold. The allied Forerunners teleported onto the Infinity and make short work of the Prometheans aiding the humans and Elites as best they can.

A small group of Forerunners( called Servants of the Ecumene) made it to the bridge, wiping out the Warden Eternal, but capturing the Master Chief and unintentionally the Arbiter as well when he tried to save the him. Confused and enraged, The humans and elites demanded to know where their warriors had gone. The lieutenant of this Forerunner army: Famor Deletrass: gave them rest over their worries that they were enemies and that they were ordered to help the humans and elites fight the Guardian. But they were also given orders to retrieve the Master Chief as well. When asked who gave them this order, Famor simply replied, " The Iso-Didact."

Meanwhile The Chief and Arbiter discover that they were purposefully brought to a strange Forerunner Planet that the Builder/Defacto Promeatheans call Apex. The Servants try to assure the Chief and Arbiter that they are in a safe haven, but they are too battle worn and confused to listen. They demand that the Forerunners take them back to Sanghelios so they can help. Before the heated words turn into a full out brawl, the Commander of The Servants, a small female, steps forward and tells them that she will answer any and all of their questions. halfway during their conversation John and Thel discover that this female is indeed Cortana, or at least what seems to be Cortana. The difference being this one is just how John remembers her; Kind, honest, and loyal.Except she's human. Cortana tells them that the Cortana controlling the Guardians is actually the embodiment of her Rampant personalities made into a somewhat exact replica of herself through the Domain and further corrupted by the Warden Eternal. She also tells them that their is indeed another Forerunner Didact alive, but this one is more compassionate towards humans and she has been ordered to take them to him, but she will give them the choice to go back if they want.The chief and Arbiter decide to take the risk and follow this Cortana to see if there is still hope to save the galaxy.
